Part-Time Municipal Police Officer

The Town of Peru Police Department is accepting applications for employment as a Part-Time Municipal Police Officer. Candidates must be able to fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities of a Patrol Officer with the Police Department.
Minimal Requirements:
Have successfully completed police recruit training or intermittent/reserve training as required by the Municipal Police Training Committee.
Have a current Massachusetts Driver’s license in good standing
Be eligible for an unrestricted license to carry (LTC), MGL Chapter 140 sec 131
Pass a background investigation
Preference may be given for current law enforcement experience
Preference may also be given for
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field
Spanish or secondary language proficiency
Other specialized assignment experience or training
