The Peru Highway Department will be starting culvert replacements on South Rd and Hickingbotham Rd beginning July 13th, 2026, ahead of the planned paving project. While our crew is working to replace these culverts, the road will be closed to traffic to allow safe excavation across the road. Road closures will take effect starting at 7am each day and lasting until they can be safely reopened to traffic in the afternoon. We hope to replace all the culverts on South Rd between 7/13 to 7/17. We will be replacing the culverts on Hickingbotham Rd between 7/20 to 7/24.

Full depth reclamation and paving is planned for September. There are no specific dates scheduled yet. These roads will be temporarily closed during the reclaiming and paving process and reopening each afternoon.
